Use cases

How a firm runs the work

A capability on its own is a feature. A capability in sequence is a workflow. These are the workflows a practice runs every week.

From first call to an open matter, with the conflict check on the record before anything exists.

From recorded work to a sealed receipt, with every step evidenced.

Bill in the client's currency, report in yours, and keep last year still.

See what is owed, how old it is, and act before it becomes a write-off.

Reconstructing a disputed fee, deadline or instruction from the record rather than from memory.

Give a client exactly the documents intended, and get signed copies back into the file.

Hearings, deadlines, evidence, correspondence and costs in one workspace.

Each person works in their language, and the documents follow.

A new fee earner productive on day one, seeing only what they should.

What Mersal actually does

Each capability exists because a specific failure kept happening. These pages describe the failure first, then what the system does about it.
